BON ECOSSE Bouclé is our specialist Bouclé fabric offering – in response to a huge demand for affordable Bouclé fabric in our commercial projects, we set to work to source a high quality, competitively priced practical Bouclé range in stunning shades and textures.
Originally discovered in the 1930’s by none other than Coco Chanel for her eponymous luxury fashion house, she began using hard, natural wool and tweeds in her fashion collections.
From the French word meaning ‘looped or curly ply’, this previously unpopular fabric was suddenly pioneered by this design maestro into being the new cutting-edge fabric of the fashion Jet Set (think Jackie Kennedy in her classic Chanel skirt suit).
Furniture designers of the 50s and 60s followed suit – creating ubercool curved sofas and suites, which have also now found their way into today’s leading contemporary interior design.
Available in five gorgeous pale neutral shades – Arran Sweater, Angora Goat, Woolly Mammoth, Winter Wonderland and Sub Zero – they are all machine washable at 30 degrees C, hardwearing, versatile and conform to BS5852 safety and fire standards.
